Call for Submissions for "Lost Between Sea & Storm: A Collection of Dark Poetry"
Carlisle Legacy Books is looking for poetry up to 50 lines in length.
We will accept any genre, but we especially want fantasy, dark fantasy, whimsy, or horror.
Poems must fit the title--however you choose to interpret it.
Any poetic form, including prose, narrative, or blank verse is accepted.
We anticipate an early 2026 release.
Accepted poets will receive $5 per poem plus a contributor's copy of the anthology.
We prefer exclusive rights for the first 90 days the anthology is in print. After that, we retain non-exclusive right to keep the poem or poems in the anthology while it remains in print (in both book and/or eBook format).
If your poem has been previously published, let us know when and where, as we do accept them if they are not too similar to an unpublished poem.
Submission Format:
You may submit up to five (5) poems in DOC, DOCX, RTF or TXT format.
Please use the Shunn format for poetry.
We will not accept poems that contain:
• Pedophilia / Rape / Child Abuse
• Animal Abuse
• Vulgar Language (mild profanity is acceptable)
• Extreme Violence, Sex, or Gore
• Poetry created or assisted by Generative AI
Please send submissions as an attachment in DOC, DOCX, RTF, or TXT format to: carlislelegacybooks@gmailcom by midnight Mountain Standard Time on November 30, 2025.
We plan to send out responses by the end of the year.
